Helenvando Co. has repaired lighting in the Rio Grande Valley since 2009. What started with a single bench and a box of salvaged sockets is now a full workshop on East Monroe Street, handling everything from a bedside lamp with a tired switch to an eight-arm chandelier that has not been cleaned in thirty years.

How we work

Every job starts with a diagnosis, not a guess. We open the fixture, test continuity, check the socket interior and look for the real cause — because a lamp that flickers rarely has a bulb problem. You get a firm price before any work begins, and we call you if anything unexpected turns up inside.

What we care about

• Safety first. New cord, correct polarity, proper strain relief and a load test on every rewire.
• Original character. Patina, period hardware and maker's marks are preserved wherever they can be.
• Straight answers. If a fixture is not worth repairing, we tell you before you spend anything.

Who we serve

Homeowners make up most of our work, but we also handle scheduled maintenance for hotels on South Padre Island, restaurants in Harlingen, dental and medical offices in Brownsville and Weslaco, and antique dealers throughout South Texas.
